1st Degree: What a Lovely Summer

This is a mid-development side game of the BL VN: 1st Degree. This side game is being made as a way to relieve some stress for the team as well as to earn some extra funds to make up for the content that was not originally accounted for in the Kickstarter budget. All profit from this game will be going back into the development for the main 1st Degree game. This game is meant to be played if you do not enjoy the gore of the main game. This visual novel has r18+ content, but also includes a little bit of story for you to get to know the characters and how they deal with 'problems' in their relationship!
Play as Rei and enjoy four different dates with the four routes from the main game! Each date has a different background and its own CG! But be careful, choose the wrong answers and you might just end up pissing everyone off.
As Rei, you will experience three routes as the bottom and one route as the top, but! The main game may just have a little more variety with a certain route~
These dates are not connected to the main story. Rather, consider them as something like an after story. Some lines may contain non-canon information.

-Roughly 50k word script
-New outfits and 20+ facial expressions for each character
-5 Backgrounds
-4 Unique CGs (with 7 to 11 variations for each)
-2 New tracks (with variations for each character)
-Partial Voice acting (minimal sounds and moans)
-12 Endings
*CGs are for the good end! We may end up adding more CGs if we have extra funds.
Gameplay:
The romance system is very simple. You'll get between 2 to 4 options for each choice you're presented with. Each option will have -2, -1, +1, or +2 points. You need to get at least +4 in order to get the good end! The points are not shown until after you choose so make sure you think through your decisions, but you won't have very long... Just like a real relationship, you've gotta be on your feet when answering your loved one, so, watch the timer! Now, we aren't responsible for your decisions, so make sure you keep track of how many hearts pop up when you select your options. Pink with a '+' = good, black and upside down with a '-' = bad. The number of hearts correspond with the points you received from your choice. Some routes are less straight forward than the others!

Censor:
If you want to play the game but don't want to see the r18+ bits, we've included a censor! The censor will block out the parts that are NSFW, and the NSFW moans and sound effects will also not play if the censor is enabled.

After purchasing the game, extract the files to wherever you would like to save the game. A new folder would work fine.
Please view the 1DLS-OPTIONS text file to view the options for each route if you have trouble reading them.
This file also includes some information about the settings if you are confused.

-A few text jingle errors in the Twins' route.
-Small sprite error in Minami's route.
-Twins CG unlock error (allowing for text skip)
-Text skip error happening on all routes

Things to note:
-If you wish to turn off the text jingles, it is associated with the VOICES.
-If you wish to turn off the sex sounds/moans, it is associated with SFX.
-If you wish to have them turned off and the CGs censored, you can enable the CENSOR.

Hey there! We do plan on it for the main game. We're currently working on putting the game on steam though, so I believe you would be able to purchase it more easily on there versus on itch. The process on itch is a little more complicated to allow credit card purchases.

Heyo! I just started playing this, and idk if it's just me or a game error, but all routes are emitting this strange jingling noise in place of the voices, almost like the text jingle sound? I wanna say? I checked my settings and everything was right, tried closing the game and reloading it, but it didn't change! *cries hopelessly* please help-- (also I'm on MacOS)
(I hope we answered well enough on discord but I'll restate here anyway!)
The text sounds are supposed to be there. The only voices are for the sex scenes. The text sounds are associated with the VOICE settings. You can disable the text sounds by clicking 'Disable All Voices'. This will not effect the sex sounds, as those are associated with the SFX setting.

Another game, another satisfying end. Honestly ever since I got the 1st Degree demo about a few years back I remembered being so stoked to start playing it when it finally releases in full, now seeing that there's a whole ass mini game with some material that gets us fans riled up really has me excited for the official release of the game, keep up the great work Devs!

Did you follow the instructions to move the images.rpa file into the appropriate 'game' folder from the folder you extracted from itch?
We had to separate the files because of itch's upload limit, but have emailed them and will hopefully be updating the files to all be in one place soon so it won't be so confusing.

Hi there! I've looked into this a little more. We would have to connect to an alternative method called Stripe in order to allow buyers to use their credit card. I will look into it a little bit more. Otherwise, we will also be posting the game on steam in a few weeks!

The issue might be where you extracted the 'images.rpa' file.
Try moving it into the 'game' folder, and proceed to start the application. Hopefully the error will be resolved.

If I am correct, you were unable to retrieve and download the 'images.rpa' file?
If you have already extracted all of the files for the side game into a folder on your device/computer, you should be able to find a text document file titled 'INSTRUCTIONS'.
Within this document there are directions written for you (the consumer) to follow, in order to successfully start the application.
To retrieve the 'images.rpa' file, there should be a link located in the previously mentioned 'INSTRUCTIONS' text document. All you should have to do from there, is to copy and paste that link into whatever internet browser you are using. From this point, you should be able to download and extract/move the 'images.rpa' file into the correct location.
If you are having trouble finding the 'images.rpa' file in your device, I will leave a few screenshots showing where you might find this file.
Once you have downloaded it, you need only move it into the 'game' sub-folder, in order for the application to successfully start.
Hopefully this may be of some use to you, and I apologize if I misunderstood your initial comment.
When you have started downloading the 'images.rpa' file, you should be able to open the location of that file in your computer/device relatively quickly from following this screenshot, but I will provide another method if for some reason this does not work for you.

they’re so annoying over there, with their mania to be sooo strict with +18 stuff while they don’t mind selling games featuring war, guns, killing, and undead or borderline female ecchi… i know valve plays a role, same as some other banking/card companies, but still…
I believe that actually changed last year or two years ago. I don't think they restrict 18+ content anymore.

Hi there, we have had a lot of issues in our personal lives as a result of the virus and some of us are financially struggling at the moment. We are trying to get ourselves in a better place mentally and physically. At this point, I will be posting another update when we are 100% ready to release the side game. What's holding us back right now, as I said previously, one of the people helping me is struggling with their living situation. Unfortunately, real life comes first and we have to be secure before we can focus on 1st Degree. I've underestimated how much we have been affected, which I apologize to all of you for. Some things are unforeseeable. Please note though that we just need some lines recut and coded, which shouldn't take long. So, you can expect an update in a few weeks with the FINAL release date.
OK seeing the twins as a hard route made me cry...LMAO. I'm going to fail them...multiple times XD better get a notebook to record every choice and reaction!
